Yet the things she discovers about herself make her question everything. The protagonist, who goes by Stephanie - a name given to her by a new friend - knows nothing about herself except that she is not an evil killer. What a wonderful way to explore who you really are if you can't remember anything about yourself. She doesn't know her own name or where she came from or what she is. Every page reveals something new about the protagonist who has lost her memories. The Awakening is a mystery featuring vampires, demons and shape shifters.
