Though when playing supposedly players use " cinders " as the matchmaking password, as you can and will normally see non-cinders players if you go online. Protect yourself, and when you do get banned, it'll be with other cinders players anyway, as the way bans work kind of make it convenient. That said, this is too simple, and too effective a strategy not to employ. They supposedly do it in batches but Fromsoft is anything if not ah, kind of inactive these days. I've yet to get banned on my family share account even with Cinders on, so I'm not even sure if they're all that active. That said, back everything up, of course. You can even set up Cinders so that it doesn't use the same save files at all. That way you can log into this new account and play the game and if and when it assuredly gets banned, it doesn't harm your main account in the slightest. Then in your main account enable family share, add that account as a friend, then add them to your family share. Setting up Family Share is such an easy thing. There is zero reason to get banned using Cinders. Bamco or Steam would not take your game away from your account you would still be able to play DS3. Being banned the 1st or 2nd time, you would still be able to play your game but your online interaction would be restricted to other banned players. After the 1st unban, if you get banned again, then it's a permanent ban on your account and you won't be able to be un-banned again for that account. The 1st time is a soft-ban and you would be placed on a server where you can only co-op and PvP with other banned players. I know Fromsoft doesnt support it and you get put in some sort of a prison server, but I also read something about them changing these rules and making em more strict.
